Old photos from the shack

I found some old photos from the shack. This one has been taken in 1990 the year that I became a member of the Alfa Tango DX group. It shows the old type President Jackson as my DX radio. I still have some parts and use them like the SWR/power meter from GC Electronics. I don't know why I was not using the old Turner +3B at that time. But remember it was broken for a short time. Mike is  a Ham Master 4200 which did a excellent job as well. The Jackson was sold after a second visit of the dutch FCC ( they couldn't find the radio). It has been replaced several years later by a President Lincoln.

The antennas on my parents house in 1990. Vertical is a Solarcon A-99 and horizontal 2 element beam is a HB9CV which was homemade. When I removed the A-99 around the year 2000 the glassfiber was completely worn and it was a miracle it was still on the mast. The HB9CV had been replaced by another HB9CV which elements were welded on the boom, I do have pictures from it somewhere. Only used it for 2 years or so. Later the mast was used to support a GP for an automatic packetradio relay station (CB8PTB) which was operating legally.
